To post premium payments to the appropriate accounts and policies, and process other non-premium payments according to established procedures. To create general ledger vouchers of daily deposits and transfers.ResponsibilitiesPayment Processing Specialist ResponsibilitiesOpen, sort, and date stamp incoming payments and determine how they are to be applied by researching on various systems. Add batches and key payments in multiple billing systems. Process check payments electronically by scanning into the bank website. Prepare export and deposits for end-of-day balancing. Forward name and address changes and other correspondence to appropriate departments within the company.Work with Life and P/C Customer Service and Processing areas, agent offices, and mortgage companies by telephone or e-form to resolve unidentified payments.View LockBox web exception items each day to determine proper processing of payments and apply accordingly. Research and verify where money needs to be applied or rejected.QualificationsPayment Processing Specialist QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Printing calculator and computer skills required.Banking skills preferred.
