Job Summary:

The Cash Application Specialist will review all remittance from clients and match the payments to the appropriate invoices to ensure payment has been received within 24 hours of cash receipt.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

+ Receive and process cash receipts accurately, applying payments to open invoices in a timely manner.

+ Monitor short pays, overpays, and work with the collections department for resolution.

+ Create regular reports to accurately track financial information.

+ Perform periodic audits of the receivables ledger and client statements.

+ Promptly address payment inquiries and correspond with account managers and clients.

+ Monitor banking transactions for electronic payments and communicate with the internal accounting department as necessary.

+ Engage in collection management processes as necessary.

+ Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

+ Ability to work independently and contribute to broader team objectives.

+ Ability to multitask and manage time amid multiple deadlines.

+ Superb written and verbal communication skills.

+ Knowledge in Excel with experience in Microsoft Office applications.

+ Proficient with data entry and multitasking in a Windows environment.

+ Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

+ Responsible, reliable, and accountable.

+ Proficient with 10-key.

Required Education and Experience:

+ 2+ years in accounts receivable and cash applications .

Preferred Education and Experience:

+ Associate degree in finance or accounting .
