Pay: $20 to 25 an hour
A leading company is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their team. This role involves maintaining payroll practices and procedures for timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll processing. The employee will have contact with managerial level staff and external vendors, which requires strong written and verbal communication skills. The position pays close attention to important deadlines, audit preparation, year-end preparation, and various other payroll activities.
What you'll be responsible for:
Reviewing eTime timecards on a weekly basis.
Managing inbound calls and emails regarding the e-time system.
Compiling and analyzing all payroll-related biweekly reports.
Preparing monthly reports for various departments and ad-hoc reports as requested.
Completing Verification of Employment requests.
Processing W4 exemptions and/or state/local tax forms.
Handling intake and employee notification of received Garnishment Orders.
Reconciling eTime for temporary employees.
Receiving live checks and separating checks for employee pick-up or mailing.
Performing quality checks on new hire files for data entry accuracy.
Running eTime queries to identify timecards requiring manager attention and mitigating the risk of improper payroll processing.
Assessing risk when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Demonstrating sound ethical judgment and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues. Supervising the activity of others and creating accountability for maintaining standards.
What you'll bring:
High School Diploma or GED required.
0 to 3 years of payroll processing experience with ADP and Enterprise eTime.
Knowledge of HR systems.
Strong organizational, math, communication, and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
