Position Summary: Samsung SDS America is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Payroll Administrator who will play a key role in ensuring employees are compensated accurately and on time. As a Payroll Administrator at Samsung SDS America, you'll be handling all aspects of employee salary data, from reviewing the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy to ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. You'll also be responsible for managing both incoming and outgoing W-2 forms during tax season, responding to unemployment claims, and coordinating payroll processing with an outside service provider when necessary. In this position, your excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills will be put to the test as you work closely with other stakeholders to resolve any issues related to paychecks or payroll reporting. Your strong attention to detail and ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality will be essential as you maintain up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll and understand and follow applicable provisions. This role will be working on a hybrid schedule in our regional HQ office based in Ridgefield Park, NJ. Team works 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll with precision.
  • Review payroll computations and associated deductions for accuracy.
  • Input payroll data, including garnishments, paid time off, insurance, and 401(k) deductions using automated systems to ensure timely payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws.
  • Maintain current knowledge of payroll-related legislation and implement accordingly.
  • Address and resolve employee inquiries related to paychecks and payroll reports.
  • Coordinate with outside service providers as needed for payroll processing.
  • Assist with year-end payroll reporting, including federal and state filings.
  • Provide timely communication and reports to stakeholders.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects as directed by supervisor.
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with payroll software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations, including wage and hour laws.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in payroll software systems.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team. •Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Must be able to commute to the office according to company hybrid policy.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
