Aggregate Sales Representative

Inwood Material Terminal, a subsidiary of Haugland Group is seeking a full-time customer and relationship focused sales professional to service and expand our aggregate and material terminals. The candidate would be responsible for promoting and selling aggregate and recycled concrete products and associated products to market segments that include commercial, residential, industrial, and state DOT customers. This individual will build and maintain relationships with customers, develop opportunities through customer and industry networks, and serve the relationship between company and customer in a safe, professional manner.

Key Functions

* Possess strong and lasting business relationships with contractors, subcontractors, owners, and public works.

* Manage the complete sales cycle, from lead identification and qualification to negotiation, closing, and the delivery of orders, post-sale follow-up, including payment.

* Forecast sales and communicate with operations to ensure availability of inventory

* The ability to develop business strategies that lead to a presentation of opportunities and solutions to a prospective customer.

* Maintain Sales Insight: Including customer profiles, pipeline management, assist in monthly sales projections, and submit monthly backlog reporting.

* A deep understanding of the market and its customer base, gather information to understand competitive landscape.

* Measuring, quoting, bidding, and submittal preparation and submission.

* Participate in industry groups networking to develop relationships.

Desired Qualifications

* Aptitude for quickly building rapport and maintaining strong customer relationships.

* Prior sales experience.

* Technical knowledge of the concrete, asphalt and aggregate industry.

* Construction materials background or ready mix concrete/ asphalt industry, preferred, although relevant construction industry experience can substitute

* Proficiency in cold calling, lead qualification, and initiating interactions with potential customers.

* Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Must be able to travel locally on a regular basis with occasional travel outside the area as needed.
