Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrator to join our team. The Payroll Administrator will manage the payroll process, ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for employees nationally.
Ensure proper calculations of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies.
Compliance and Record-Keeping:
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Prepare and file payroll tax returns (e.g., W-2, W-4, 1099).
Ensure accurate employee earnings, PTO, deductions, and benefits records.
Employee Support:
Address employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax issues.
Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up payroll information.
Systems and Reporting:
Manage payroll systems and ensure data accuracy.
Generate reports on payroll metrics, such as headcount and labor costs.
Train employees and managers on the timekeeping system.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams for audits and reconciliation.
Benefits Administration:
Coordinate deductions for benefits, retirement plans, and garnishments.
Ensure accurate reporting of benefits and timely payments to providers.
Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental and vision plans, retirement plans, life insurance, and disability insurance
Handle benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations promptly and accurately.
Coordinate open enrollment periods, including communication, employee education, and system updates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
Experience: 3+ years of experience in payroll administration or a related role.
Skills:
Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
