Job DetailsJob Details:We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual for the role of Payroll Administrator in our bustling construction company. This is a unique opportunity to become a part of our dedicated team, where you will be responsible for ensuring that our payroll functions are executed accurately and on time. Our ideal candidate is a proven problem solver with a keen eye for detail.Responsibilities:As a Payroll Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:1. Managing the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for payroll.2. Ensuring compliance with current government regulations.3. Establishing and implementing policies on matters such as payroll advancements to employees.4. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.5. Preparing and submitting reports on payroll to upper management.6. Resolving issues and answering payroll-related questions.7. Administering benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.8. Investigating and resolving any discrepancies in payroll.9. Preparing and providing payroll information to the accounting department for preparation of financial statements.10. Keeping abreast with new legislation impacting payroll and benefits, and ensuring that the necessary changes are made promptly.Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need:1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably within the construction industry.2. Comprehensive understanding of payroll and benefits administration, laws, and best practices.3. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and payroll software systems.4. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.8.
