Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced payroll person who can navigate around data and reporting. Must have experience processing payroll in multiple states and Canada.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

* Support end to end payroll processing for multi-state clients, overseeing various pay cycles including the accuracy of employee data such as hours worked, bonuses, commissions, and other relevant information needed for payroll calculations.

* Staying informed about local, state, and federal payroll laws and regulations to ensure that payroll processes are following legal requirements.

* Assist the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee information, tax withholdings, and other relevant data.

* Collaborate with Payroll Manager to ensure accurate configuration of employee benefits, child support, and garnishments (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans, optional deductions).

* Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and other departments in a timely manner to resolve payroll-related issues, discrepancies, or inquiries, as requested.

* Run payroll reports on demand and create reports as needed.

* Enthusiastic practitioner of scrubbing data prior to report delivery.

Requirements

Experience and Education

* BS or BA required.

* Several years of experience in payroll processing, Paylocity experience preferred.

* Advanced Excel

* Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.

* Proficiency with payroll software and systems and Microsoft excel.

* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

* High Level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
