STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS: Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities.To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Education/Qualifications:Essential: 1.Associate's degree in Accounting. Requirements/Skills:Essential: 1.Skilled in Microsoft Excel. 2.Adequate data entry skills. 3.Ability to analyze data and problem solve. 4.Experience in the manipulation and analysis of statistical data from large, computerized information. 5.Strong interpersonal relationship skills in communicating with all levels of staff. 6.Superior verbal and written communications skills. 7.High ethical standards, ability to keep information confidential. Desired 1.Prior payroll processing experience. 2.Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax 3.Knowledge of prevailing wage/inflation reduction act. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage and other deductions.
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability and nontaxable wages.
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Prepares daily, weekly and monthly payroll reports for company management.
