Description We are offering a role for a Payroll Clerk located in the Salt Lake area. The role will encompass various responsibilities within payroll processing and new hire information verification. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be expected to handle large amounts of information, maintain high accuracy levels, and support other payroll functions as needed. Responsibilities Review and verify the accuracy of new hire data to ensure all details are correct. Process payroll adjustments by reviewing time records and adhering to a strict schedule. Resolve payroll-related issues and process final paychecks for departing employees. Print payroll checks for bi-weekly payroll runs and manual checks as needed. Support other functions in the payroll department as directed. Handle complaints and questions regarding payroll from employees, providing clear and accurate information. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time. Utilize skills in 'ADP - Financial Services', 'ADP Workforce Now', 'Accounting Functions', 'Auditing', 'Benefit Functions', 'Multi-state Payroll', and 'Process Payroll' to perform tasks efficiently and accurately. Requirements Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a payroll clerk role or a similar position. Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now. Ability to perform accounting functions with accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrable experience in auditing, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. Familiarity with benefit functions, including the management of employee benefits and retirement plans. Proven experience in handling multi-state payroll, adhering to each state's specific regulations. Ability to process payroll efficiently, ensuring all employees are paid on time and accurately. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for the preparation of payroll reports. Good understanding of payroll taxes, wage laws, and payroll best practices. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify payroll discrepancies and resolve them in a timely manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information. Willingness to stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field would be advantageous.
