This will be a key position as we strive to become a world-class finance organization and work to be a value-creating, customer-focused partner in driving business results. **Applicants must reside in one of the following states: NY**Role & Responsibilities:
- Accurately process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for 300+ employees across 20+ locations in multiple states and legal entities.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
- Organize and integrate bonuses from various departments into the payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely processing in alignment with company policies and departmental guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and maintain payroll policies and procedures, while identifying opportunities for process improvement to streamline payroll and benefits processes.
- Manage payroll-related taxes, deductions, garnishments, and other withholdings.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports, including time reports from Business Partners.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure accurate employee data, including new hires, terminations, and changes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees on payroll and benefits-related inquiries.
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, including W-2s, 1099s, and other necessary forms.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a similar field.
- 4+ years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration, preferably in a multi-state, multi-entity environment.
- Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g., Trinet, ADP, Workday)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
- Highly proactive and analytical with strong attention to detail, along with the ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
