Job Description The Payroll Manager will manage and coordinate the operations and reports for all payroll-related activities for the Network in Fort Worth, Texas. This role oversees the payroll functions, including processing timecards, compiling and reporting payroll statistics, preparing and submitting tax payments and reports, maintaining payroll control records, and ensuring timely and accurate work. The Payroll Manager is also responsible for supervising payroll staff. **This is a Monday-Friday onsite position** Essential Job Functions: - Manage payroll and tax preparation, processing, submissions, and related reporting functions for the our client's encompassing 7,200+ employees. - Ensure timely preparation of payroll, tax reporting, and financial analysis of proposed changes in compensation and benefits. - Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions. - Establish departmental procedures and interpret payroll policies for staff and employees. - Obtain policy clarifications from appropriate sources as needed. - Provide oversight and participate in the production of biweekly and off-cycle payroll activities. - Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax and governmental payroll reporting. - Oversee the preparation of federal tax deposits ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Manage the preparation, printing, and distribution of accurate W-2s and related forms. - Provide leadership for customer service to hospital staff in resolving payroll issues and questions. - Reconcile payroll-related General Ledger accounts monthly. - Produce ad hoc and recurring payroll reporting. - Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors. - Supervise payroll staff including developing, training, evaluating performance, and recommending promotions, transfers, and/or disciplinary action. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university. - 5+ years of experience processing in-house payroll with prior experience in a payroll management, supervisor, or lead role. - In lieu of a bachelor's degree, 9 years of in-house payroll experience. Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience using Kronos time and attendance, Infor/Lawson payroll, and BSI tax systems. - Experience with in-house payroll software systems.
