Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee payroll operations, focusing on process improvements, customer service, and productivity.
- Develop and review payroll-related policies and procedures as needed.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of payroll professionals.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships for payroll processing.
- Ensure timely and accurate calculation of earnings and payments, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Oversee timely processing of payroll files to meet strict deadlines.
- Ensure payroll transactions are accurately classified and comply with accounting principles and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting to ensure data accuracy and proper accounting for transactions.
- Maintain open communication across departments, particularly with Venues, to ensure client satisfaction.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities and achieve results with minimal supervision.
- Lead payroll efforts for Workday payroll implementation.
- Provide training on financial systems as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Carry out supervisory duties in line with company policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and addressing employee concerns in collaboration with Human Resources.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (required).
- 10+ years of payroll operations experience.
- Hands-on experience with Workday payroll processing.
- Proven ability to lead and manage payroll departments in large, multi-location organizations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; aptitude for learning and supporting new technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll and accounting procedures, as well as payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Strong ability to work independently while fostering team collaboration.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to manage complex priorities efficiently.
