Job Description:In this role, you will provide first-level support and monitor daily operations of key enterprise-level systems, primarily Financial/HR, Land-management/Permitting systems and City-managed Websites. Examples of Duties:
- Performs system testing and quality control checks of new updates and configurations.
- Constructs new user accounts and provides introductory training for users of enterprise-level software systems.
- Completes user account adjustments due to changes in staffing and communicates with Departments regarding proper system coverage.
- Provides technical assistance by responding to questions and requests for assistance with software use; refers more complex issues to appropriate staff for resolution.
- Maintains a working system knowledge of key operations for assisting users and ensuring proper use of the software.
- Trains users in system operations and reporting functions.
- Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm software meets specifications.
- Writes documentation or reviews documentation written by others that describes configuration and operating procedures.
- Advises customers on how to accomplish tasks using the database applications by answering questions and providing training.
- Serves as liaison between users and vendors on complex technical matters requiring vendor participation to resolve, maintaining ongoing communications with both parties until issue is resolved or acceptable workaround procedure is determined.
- Assists customers with gathering information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Two years of related professional experience
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in computer science, programming, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel and Word or similar software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a help desk environment responding to user technical requests
- Knowledge of ONESolution Financial/HR, EnerGov Land lanagement/Permitting and/or CivicPlus Website Content Management software
- Experience working with large enterprise-level software systems
Other Necessary Requirements:
- May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
