Summary: Responsible for the accurate and timely processing and distribution of payroll. Completes payroll processing for On-Cycle and Off-Cycle payrolls in compliance with all Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies as defined by law. Set up, and test new pay and deduction codes in compliance with all Federal, State and Local tax compliance; updating and maintaining payroll process documentation; load and testing of Regulatory Bulletins for BSI tax software. Provides customer service to Summa's internal and external customers via telephone or email. Minimum Qualifications: Formal Education Required: -Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or business related field, or equivalent experience. -American Payroll Association Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CCP) preferred. Experience and Training Required: -Minimum of two (2) years of payroll processing experience, and/or Payroll FPC or CPP Certification. -Knowledge of FLSA, DOL and tax compliance -Previous experience with automated payroll/HRIS systems. Lawson HRIS preferred. -Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the internet.
