Our client, a top non-profit in DC, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. Pay Rate: $25 - 30 / hr Location: Downtown Washington, DC Internal Job ID: JN -112###-####48 Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in ADP required, and SuccessFactors preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Payroll processing
- Experience in the Restaurant (Hospitality) industry preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, process, and review weekly full cycle exempt and non-exempt payroll while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Ensure the accuracy and timely process of payroll functions, including but not limited to base pay, bonuses, special pays, payroll taxes, benefits, merit increases, and other deductions.
- Ensure all new hires/rehires are entered into the payroll system along with tax withholding information, banking, etc. and that labor hours are reconciled and imported to the payroll system for processing.
- Prepare and ensure timely reporting of all payroll-related regulatory requirements which include after payroll, monthly, quarterly, annual payroll reporting and reconciliation for tax forms and reporting agencies like IRS, State, and Local agencies including Labor Statistics
- Perform regular reconciliations for Payroll GL and Worker's Compensation reporting and provide accounting payroll reports as needed.
- Coordinate activities related to implementation project and other special projects as they arise.
- Attending meetings and gather and sort mails for Payroll.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and other departments to streamline payroll processes and ensure accurate and timely pay
