You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.POSITION SUMMARY:This position exists to process payroll for approximately 30 AMSURG surgery centers with individual FEINs across the United States. The position will be the primary point of contact for employees and managers who have payroll related questions and concerns.This is a remote position, allowing the Payroll Specialist I position to be based primarily from home. Candidates must be willing to work a CST time zone Monday-Friday.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Work with the HR and Finance team in center conversions to UltiPro HR/ Payroll Web including attending training sessions and converting current data from payroll provider into the new system
  • Serve as a payroll administrator with responsibility for export of payroll time across multiple locations including employee data entry, employee training, maintenance of system, payroll reporting, and communication with employees
  • Responsible for the timely approval of documented changes entered through the self-service portal
  • Support the input of employee data into UltiPro HRIS for Surgery Center employees
  • Respond to inquiries, set-up, and ongoing research for tax issues across several states and localities
  • Manage all activities related to garnishments and wage attachments for multiple states
  • Other special projects as assigned
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.Education/Experience:BS degree in Human Resources, Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience desired. Candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years payroll processing experience. Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local wage and hour and ERISA laws. Experience with UltiPro software desired.
