About Us:Ledgent Finance & Accounting is a trusted staffing partner specializing in placing skilled finance and accounting professionals. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Temporary Payroll Specialist to assist one of our clients in managing payroll operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for employees accurately and on time.
• Verify timesheets and employee information for accuracy and compliance.
• Handle payroll adjustments, including deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Maintain and update payroll records and documentation.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Generate payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• 1-3 years of full cycle Payroll experience is required.
• Experience with ADP is a plus!

Pay: $25 - $28 per hr.
