Job DetailsResponsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of payroll processing for multiple pay groups including, but not limited to, data entry, benefits deductions, garnishments, tax calculations, and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll specialist role or a similar role.
  • Proven experience with payroll processing and tax regulations.
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.
  • Working knowledge of payroll systems.
  • Strong work ethic and team player.
  • High degree of professionalism.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
