THE OPPORTUNITY: Location: Administration or As AssignedReports to: Director, PayrollFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSalary Band: 12Compensation: $45,900.00 - $64,260.00Number of Positions: 2Responsible for but not limited to timely and accurate processing of payroll for a biweekly environment. Other responsibilities include the ability to research and become abreast of federal and state regulations and possess a strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills as well as critical thinking skills. Analyzes and resolve complex payroll issues from employees, managers and Human Resources Professionals as well as experience working on projects and collaborating across teams to improve processes.
Responsibilities- Audit and reconcile wide range of payroll documents for more than 1000 employees
- Process employee data (new hire, changes, and additional earnings) from ATAS to the Time Entry system
- Cross train with team member in all areas of payroll
- Documenting and updating payroll documents
- Directs, performs, monitors and maintains all retirement forms, transmissions and reports
- Coordinates efforts between Payroll and Human Resources to ensure adequate flow of information
- Manage and implement authorized changes to the Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA)
- Performs other such duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Payroll
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficient in math
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficient
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Excellent written and oral skills
- CPP or FPC (Certified Payroll Professional or Fundamental Payroll Certification) (Preferred)
- Payroll processing experience (Preferred)
Working Conditions/Physical Demands - Expected moving, walking and standing consistent with an office environment and occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds
