Payroll Specialist - Ultimate Staffing : Job Details

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist for our premier client. Temp -to-hire opportunity with the potential for long-term growth and stability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and a keen eye for accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for multiple employees on a bi-weekly basis.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Verify and reconcile payroll data, including timesheets, wages, bonuses, and deductions.
• Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll role with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

$25 - $27 per hr.
