PAYROLL SPECIALIST- TOM WOOD GROUP - Tom Wood Automotive : Job Details

The Tom Wood Group in Indianapolis, Indiana, is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of payroll processes and regulations. They will excel at maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, and providing exceptional support to employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Process biweekly payroll & supplemental payrolls for more than 1,000 employees

* Process all payroll reporting after each transmittal

* Send out biweekly and supplemental payroll reports for various store locations

* Follow up with management teams on time & attendance functions as well as time off approvals on a weekly basis

* Administer garnishments and child support administration

* ADP reporting functions for Executive management, GM, Office Managers, and others

* Verification of new hire information in ADP system

* New hire reporting to the applicable states

* Handle termination paperwork and maintain terminated employee files

* Other payroll duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 3- 5 years of payroll experience - prefer experience with ADP Workforce Now

* Associates/undergraduate degree in HR, Business, Accounting or equivalent work experience in payroll area.

* Ability to partner across organizations including Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, Senior Managers, and Employees.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Excellent organizational and time management skills.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

* A high level of confidentiality/discretion is required.

* MUST have a valid driver's license with a clean record
