PC Galleries Alt-Text Editor/ Writer Overview Providence College Galleries (PCG) seeks a Providence-based writer with expertise in contemporary art and a commitment to accessibility. As the Alt-Text Editor/ Writer, this person will join the Alt-Text Connects team to oversee the writing and serve as editor of alt-text descriptions for PCGs collection and website images to increase access to PCG exhibitions to all audiences. This role is key to creating concise, descriptive alt-text that enhances the inclusivity of PCGs digital content. Contract role up to 20 weeks in length 12 hours/week Essential Duties: Team Collaboration: Oversee alt-text captioning assignments to PCG team members and student workers. Participate in bi-weekly meetings to discuss project progress and re?ne alt-text strategies in collaboration with PCG staff. Attend focus group meetings and alt-text training workshop.
