Responsibilities:

• Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor critically ill patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other indicators.
• Administer Medications: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, adjusting as needed based on patient condition.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Assess Patient Status: Conduct ongoing assessments and provide interventions to stabilize patient conditions.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions.
• Document Care: Maintain accurate patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, and responses.
• Assist in Procedures: Support physicians during procedures and assist with the management of invasive devices (e.g., ventilators, IVs).
• Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patient needs, ensuring comfort and safety in the care setting.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to sudden changes in patient status, providing immediate care.

Required:

• Recent (in the past 2 years) acute care hospital experience - REQUIRED
• 2 years experience of intermediate/progressive care experience - REQUIRED
• Facility would consider a candidate with PCU/IMCU/Telemetry/Stepdown experience
• Certifications don't need to be active at time of submission but must be willing to obtain
• OR license don't need to be active at time of submission but must be willing to obtain
• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
