A nonprofit organization that provides social services in NY is looking to add a Registered Nurse to their team in the Bronx. This is a rewarding opportunity where you can feel proud to join this supportive team. You will be responsible for the coordination and provision of medical care.

Responsibilities:

• Screening for infectious diseases, managing prescription medications, triaging medical complaints, and responding to medical emergencies.

• Maintain information on medication, ensuring that medication dosages are properly separated.

• Track EpiPens and inhalers required and provide training on proper utilization.

• Supervise procedures for students taking medication during school hours.

• Provide individual supervision to medical coordinators.

• Maintain contact to ensure correct prescriptions are followed, including regular review of medication logs.

• Review and maintain health records in accordance with local governmental regulations.

• Promote and assist in the control of communicable diseases.

• Assist in the development of emergency response plans including training on safety procedures.

• Ensure that protective personal equipment and first aid equipment is available and assist with first aid procedures for medical emergencies.

• Create discharge medical plans for complex medical concerns and liaise with external providers.

Job Qualifications:

• Must have an active RN license in the state of NY.

• Must have 1 year of professional RN experience.

• Experience working with children, adolescents, and teens is preferred.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

• Alternating weekend flexibility.
