Pediatric Perfusionist - American Society of Extracorporeal Technology : Job Details

We are growing! Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is seeking a fifth pediatric staff perfusionist to join our dynamic team. Candidates for this position must be independent yet a team player, self-motivated, have excellent critical thinking skills, and strong interpersonal skills.

Annual surgery caseload is approximately 300+ on pump procedures and 80+ standby procedures. Our caseload includes a wide variety of congenital heart procedures (including adult congenital), a busy cardiac transplantation program, VAD's, ECMO support, HIPEC procedures and cardiac cell saving services. Previous pediatric perfusion experience is strongly preferred. New graduates will also be considered based on experience. • Bachelor's degree or higher
• Graduate from a CAAHEP accredited perfusion program
• American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) certification or eligibility
• Illinois licensure preferred (required after employment)
• Ability to take call responsibilities and work overnight cases
