THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) is seeking driven and dependable Dispatchers for their new and growing dispatch center in Dauphin County. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will receive, dispatch, and coordinate information and processes in the PGC Centralized Dispatch Center. This includes general office record keeping, typing, and filing duties that are related to your public service dispatching and communication activities. You will prioritize tasks, perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and actively participating in on-the-job training. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

* Full-time employment

* This position works four ten-hour days per week, no lunch period, to support our 24 hour per day operations.

* This position is not telework eligible.

* Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

* Two years of dispatch operations experience, two-way radio operation experience, or complex clerical experience.

* Possession of a valid Public Safety Telecommunicator certificate issued by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials may be substituted for six months of the required experience.

* Possession of a valid Pennsylvania hunting license may be substituted for three months of the required experience.

Special Requirements:

* You must possess a clear, firm voice and no major speech, hearing, or visual impairments that would interfere with understanding verbal communication, being understood, or using electronic communications equipment and visual display equipment.

Post-Employment Requirement:

* You must be able to obtain CLEAN and JNET certification within the probationary period and maintain these certifications for the duration of employment in this job.

Additional Requirements:

* You must be able to perform essential job functions.
