Job Description CLASSIFICATION: Part-time, non-exempt, in-person (29 hours) SCHEDULE: Monday through Thursday 9am- 5pm Job Summary/ Objective: The People and Compliance Coordinator at Redemption Church will play a vital role in fostering a welcoming and safe environment for new and current staff, emphasizing seamless onboarding, safety compliance, and a vibrant staff culture for the San Jose and Greenville offices. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a heart for ministry who can ensure that their career and growth goals align with Redemption Church's mission and values. Key Responsibilities: 1. Onboarding and New Hire Experience - Assist in the end-to-end onboarding process to welcome and integrate new staff members effectively. - Coordinate orientation sessions that introduce new hires to Redemption Church's values, policies, and culture. - Facilitate the completion of required new hire paperwork and and first day orientation. - Serve as a primary contact for new hires, guiding them through their first 90 days to ensure a smooth transition. -Tracking of new hire eligibility dates for benefits, medical and retirement and assisting with changes and open enrollments 2. Safety and Compliance - Monitor and ensure staff adherence to federal, state, and church-specific safety regulations and policies. - Maintain accurate employee records, certifications, trainings, and background checks to ensure all compliance requirements are met. - Assist in coordination of regular safety audits and coordinate training sessions to keep staff informed of best practices and safety protocols. 3. Staff Culture and Engagement - Assist and coordinate in the implementation of programs that encourage staff engagement, team building, and positive morale. - Assist and coordinate staff events, training sessions, and workshops that align with church culture and values. - Act as a liaison between staff and CHRO supporting a culture of transparency and open communication. 4. Policy Development and Communication - Assist in creating, updating, and communicating HR policies and procedures to staff. - Ensure that employees have easy access to updated policy documentation and are well-informed of any changes. - Respond to inquiries about policies, providing clarity and guidance as needed. 5. Administrative Support - Assist with the electronic filing of new and archived records, non confidential employee files, and documentation efficiently and with discretion. - Assist with miscellaneous attendance tracking, and leave management, holiday calendaring for staff. - Generate reports related to staff onboarding, retention, safety compliance, and engagement metrics as needed. -Maintain inventory of departmental supplies and inventory, for on-boarding, safety, trainings, and staff initiatives collaborating with the appropriate teams to keep inventory in stock, and events executed seamlessly (ASANA) - Assist with departmental trainings and tracking of re-occuring, HR, or OSHA related trainings. -Reconcile credit cards and expenditures for the department (Nexonia, Intacct) -Facilitate and execute preparation of Staff initiative events, safety events and trainings -Calendaring as needed for CHRO -Maintain the organizational chart up to date (Canva) -Keep onboarding area tidy, clean and stocked with items required for the onboarding experience such as documents, binders, welcome gifts, etc. -Facilitiate the needs of the department for both campuses, San Jose and Greenville and work as a liaison betweeen the two campuses as it pertains to all HR, Payroll, Safety and Compliance, and People Culture. -Professionally and hospitably answer phone calls and connect them to the respective personnel if front desk requires coverage. -Scan electronic copies of all HR and Safety mail as it comes in -Adhere to all administrative systems implemented and used by the organization -Reserve conference rooms and areas of the campus, collaborating with various departments as needed for meetings and trainings within the department -Follow up with candidates and applications for various open job postings as needed Personal Attributes: - Faith Alignment: Strong personal commitment to Christian values and active involvement in a local church. - Mission-Driven: A heart for ministry, with a desire to contribute to the mission of Redemption Church. - Approachable: A positive, welcoming demeanor that encourages staff members to reach out with questions and feedback. - Adhere to the policies and procedures as outlined in the Redemption Employee Handbook -Strive to display professionalism and moral conduct Important Notice: This job description is not intended and should not be construed to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts and working conditions associated with this position. Requirements Qualifications: - Education: Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred - Experience: 2+ years in an HR or compliance role, ideally within a faith-based or non-profit organization. - Experience: 3+ years in people culture, compliance, and safety regulations. -Strong understanding of systems and their importance within an organization. - Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - High level of empathy, integrity, and a genuine passion for people and ministry. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HRIS or onboarding platforms is a plus.
