Job Purpose and OverviewThe People Generalist I (PG I) will support HR functions across our Global Corporate and North America Commercial and Distribution service centers, partnering with the Global People Team and North America Commercial/DSSC teams. This hybrid role, with occasional travel, ensures effective people services and supports strategic HR initiatives.What will you do as a People Generalist I at Dawn Foods?
  • Oversee onboarding, compensation, benefits, leave management, and other HR functions.
  • Manage and resolve escalated issues from Tier I support, ensuring comprehensive and effective solutions.
  • Assist with the People Transformation project (FutureReady) and related initiatives.
  • Address employment-related inquiries and handle complex or sensitive issues.
  • Maintain accurate team member files and manage leaves of absence.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and company policies.
  • Support HR policy updates and implementation.
  • Manage new-hire orientations and support recruiting and hiring processes.
  • Analyze data to support various HR programs and issues.
  • Lead or assist with benefits presentations for new hires.
  • Process workers' compensation, unemployment, disability, and leave claims.
  • Implement actions from engagement surveys.
  • Uphold the Dawn Values and support organizational excellence.
What Does It Take to be an People Generalist I at Dawn Foods?
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in Human Resources.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HCM systems (PeopleSoft, Workday, SuccessFactors).
  • SAP experience is a plus.
