Responsible for performing clerical and non-clinical duties within the department.QUALIFICATIONSLicense /CertificationRequired: Heartsaver AEDEducationPreferred: High school diploma or equivalentExperiencePreferred: Prior experienceJOB RESPONSIBILITIESEssentialPatient CareCompletes patient care job responsibilities according to the service area (the responsibilities may vary from one area to another). Is familiar with treatment plan and precautions before working with a patient. Monitors the patient's response to treatment. Reports all patient related incidents to the primary therapist. Collaborates with the supervising therapist so as to ensure proper documentation of services rendered. Demonstrates the correct operation of therapeutic equipment.ClericalFollows clerical procedures for treatment area. Completes a variety of non-patient care responsibilities according to the service area.AdditionalFollows appropriate department maintenance procedures.Maintains and stores equipment as required. Appropriately assists therapist and patients with equipment within specified treatment area.Responds appropriately to equipment malfunctions.Maintains a safe workplace for the protection of the patient, staff and visitors.Maintains necessary certifications and health tests.Work is consistent with departmental and non-departmental needs.Participates in continuing education.Conforms to the spirit of Kaweah Health guidelines and standards. Supports and carries out the policies of the Kaweah Health. Behavior with patients, families, physicians, and staff is consistent with the spirit of KH.Supports Kaweah Health efforts and teamwork.Maintains confidentiality.Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
