The Perioperative Assistant is responsible for assisting the nurse in providing care to the geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and infant patients during the perioperative phase of their hospitalization. Job Details Responsibilities: Assist the professional staff in the Operating Rooms to facilitate surgical cases by maintaining supplies and equipment including carts, scopes and video monitors used by Nurses and Anesthesiologists Coordinate all necessary services for repairs with ANCC Assists the nursing personnel with surgical instrumentation and the disinfection and sterilization of equipment and instruments Performs surgical case picks for same day and following day cases; assists in preparing the surgical patient in the Holding Room and care of the post-operative patient in the PACU. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Previous hospital experience Must be physically able to lift and transfer Patients/equipment BLS or CPR/AED training required Salary Range USD $25.14 - USD $37.72 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
