Job Summary: Responsible for assessing, developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for perioperative personnel to maintain competency, and continuing education. Job Description: Develop and execute educational programs for perioperative staff. Guide new nurses through the PeriOp 101 program. Provide call coverage as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Essential Job Functions: Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Assess the environment to determine educational needs of patients and perioperative personnel. Plan and provide perioperative personnel education. Provide educational resources for perioperative personnel. Act as a clinical resource for perioperative personnel using evidence-based standards and professional guidelines. Assist perioperative personnel in the evaluation of current practice through quality and process improvement measures. Collaborate with other members of the health care team as required. Mentor team members as required. Manage all aspects of educational projects. Facilitate student learning experiences in the perioperative setting. License and Education Requirements: BSN Current Idaho registered nurse license BLS ACLS PALS Certification Requirements: CNOR (current or obtained within 1 year of hire)
