Responsibilities* Provides 1:1 direct observation to assigned patient to prevent patient self-injury in a situation where patient/family is unable to do so.* Communicates with assigned nursing/nursing support staff on assigned area immediately in case of emergency, or as needed to provide patient care on routine basis.* Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service.* Abides by all hospital and departmental policies.* Must be able to communicate effectively with people of diverse professional, educational and lifestyle backgrounds.* Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines.* Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance.* Employee maintains current licenses and/or certifications required for the position.* Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.QualificationsHigh School graduate or GED.Familiarity with healthcare environment preferred.* Area of Interest: Patient Care;* FTE/Hours per pay period: .75;* Department: Nursing Float;* Shift: Monday-Thursday 11:30pm - 7am.;* Job ID: 153778;
