Personal Care Attendant - Nexion Health : Job Details

The Personal Care Attendant is responsible for maintaining the delivery of health related items to the residents within a facility. The PCA assists in developing, coordinating and performing the tasks on the service plan according to the residents preferences and abilities during their assigned shift. The PCA is a member of the personal services staff and is responsible for assisting the resident in all areas of care as assigned by the Resident Care Coordinator or Executive Director. Duties and Responsibilities: Adheres to and conveys the philosophy of Assisted Living. Has awareness and practices in accordance with the regulations of the state. Receives report from the previous shift. Maintains physicians orders in accordance with policy. Communicates appropriately with physicians, Resident Care Coordinator, Executive Director, outside health care agencies and others as appropriate. Utilizes communication tools as per policy.
