Personal Injury Attorney - 7 years' experience preferred - J.Sheppard Associates : Job Details

Our client, a boutique Personal Injury Law Firm, based in Nassau County, is seeking an Associate with a minimum of 7 years' experience in personal Injury Law, especially Nursing Home Neglect, Construction Labor Accidents and Medical Malpractice. This is a foundational opportunity to work closely with two partners in the firm while managing a caseload without overreaching supervision.

The ideal candidate will have trial experience (either plaintiff or defense side) in New York State and Federal Court , bringing tried cases to verdict. In addition, strong negotiation experience is also required to successfully bring cases to settlement. Strong written and communication skills are necessary, with experience in writing answers, motions and briefs to be presented before the court required. First chair trial experience is preferred. Demonstrated experience with case management, from inception to resolution is required.

Candidates must be barred in NY, in good standing. Compensation is comprised of salary in the range of 155K-190K plus liberal bonus potential. In addition, a solid health benefits package is offered. This is an on-site position, with time split between the firms' offices and, when necessary, the courts.
