Job Summary:

The Customer Service Representative is the primary contact for clients and responsible for providing effective customer service for personal lines customers by using excellent in-depth knowledge of the company's insurance products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Properly respond to all customer requests in a professional and courteous manner and on a timely basis.

* Initiate endorsements and other policy changes for customers.

* Process and transmit (via fax, email, or mail) necessary information to clients and brokers such as ID Cards, DEC pages, applications, quotes, etc.

* Assist applicants and brokers with completion of the application and required forms.

* Assist underwriting team to obtain information from clients and broker.

* Escalate customer service issues to management as needed.

* Assist with special projects.

* Provide assistance to clients to answer question and resolve issues, including billing questions and policy changes.

* Actively look to round out accounts by referring other value-added services.

* Review and re-write current accounts to carriers that will better fit the client's needs.

* Maintain client information and files, including communication and activities in the agency management system.

* Keep abreast of changes in carrier plans and policies.

* Continue education as needed.

* Build relationships with clients, carriers, and agents.

Education and/or Experience:

* High School Diploma or recognized equivalent is required.

* Property & Casualty Producer's License preferred not required.

Computer Skills:

* Basic PC skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Other Qualifications:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

* Must possess excellent organization skills.

* Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

* Moderate stress due to regular deadlines and daily challenges.
