As a Personnel Security Specialist IV, you will lead a team in processing background investigations for federal and contractor employees, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of security clearances.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and Collaborate: Act as a Team Lead, coordinating FBI indices checks and obtaining critical information for investigations.
Conduct Analyses: Review and analyze investigative reports to ensure compliance with requirements; recommend further action as needed.
Manage Investigative Processes: Prepare and submit written recommendations for security clearance adjudications and provide feedback to enhance personnel security programs.
Conduct Briefings: Deliver security awareness and threat briefings to staff, revising content based on emerging security requirements.
Identify Risks: Keep abreast of potential security vulnerabilities and ensure thorough debriefings are conducted for individuals in sensitive positions.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience in personnel security, or an Associate's degree with 9 years of experience.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret security clearance and pass a security polygraph exam.
Skills:
Proven ability to develop and write Reports of Investigation.
Strong oral and written communication skills for interviews and briefings.
Analytical expertise to identify security vulnerabilities and inform decision-making.
Advanced degree in any field.
Experience in security leadership roles.
Knowledge of DOJ and FBI personnel security regulations.
