Pest Prevention Tech - Versova : Job Details

Job DescriptionJob Summary: As a member of the Pest Control Team, you would help to make sure the farm is following USDA and ODA regulations. This means monitoring and keeping insect populations low using a variety of techniques and products. Our ideal candidate possesses basic problem-solving skills and an attention to detail. Essential Job Functions:

• Use various methods to monitor insect populations and determine what actions need to be taken.
• Work with other team members to safely and correctly apply insecticides to control population growth and development of pest insects.
• Application and use of various pesticides and other pest control products.
• Properly disinfect equipment as it is moved throughout the different areas of the farm.
• Correctly fill out the corresponding paperwork for all activities done that day
• Other responsibilities as assigned/needed

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds in the form of a backpack sprayer.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English
• Pest control certification-qualification required
