Our client is looking to fill the role of Pharmaceutical Data Scientist. This role will be hybrid and based out of the Livingston, NJ area.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting into the Director of Sales Operations, this role will support the sales operations group through primary data system upkeep (CRM, BI database).
- Responsible for building and maintenance of machine learning models and algorithms.
- Stay current on all business reporting and data requests.
- Utilize statistical techniques for large dataset analysis to generate insights.
- Responsible for utilizing Python and SQL for extracting data and workflow reporting.
- Utilize Tableau for creation and maintenance of dashboards related to sales team KPIs.
- Responsible for development and maintenance of predictive models to measure impact sales activities.
- Work closely with sales leadership for analysis of business needs and data analysis for improvement opportunities.
- Develop data pipelines and workflows to streamline reporting and data management.
- Sales analytics analyses to include: territory, regional and national performance, customer targeting, sales territory design, sample allocations, incentive compensation, digital marketing analytics, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree at a minimum in a relevant field (such as Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics)
- 4+ years of experience working in Sales Operations, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or other relevant function that can illustrate applicable analytical skill set.
- Proven experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization in a sales or commercial setting.
- Strong Python skills for data science, AI/ML, and automation.
- Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
- Knowledge of C# is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
- Experience creating and managing visualizations in Tableau or a similar BI tool. Experience in building custom dashboards using Python and related frameworks a plus.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and general data ETL best practices.
- Experience with digital marketing analytics and omni-channel mix a plus.
