One Community Health is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Operations Technician to support the opening and daily operations of a new 340B Retail Pharmacy at our clinic in The Dalles, Oregon. This role is critical to ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant pharmacy operations, including adherence to the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
The ideal candidate will excel at processing prescriptions, managing inventory, assisting patients, maintaining regulatory compliance, and optimizing 340B program benefits. Through these efforts, this position will help improve medication access for our patients, ensuring they receive the medications they need at an affordable cost. This position also plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service in alignment with our patient-focused mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
* Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers.
* Address inquiries regarding prescription status and pharmacy services.
* Process payments and insurance claims accurately.
Inventory Management:
* Monitor and manage 340B drug inventory, including purchasing, receiving, auditing, and dispensing.
* Maintain accurate inventory records and optimize stock levels.
* Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Compliance and Documentation:
* Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as pharmacy policies.
* Assist with internal audits for 340B compliance and regulatory standards.
* Support preparation for external audits by regulatory agencies.
Team Collaboration:
* Partner with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and other team members to ensure efficient workflows.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with finance, IT, and other departments to optimize pharmacy operations.
Operational Support:
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
* Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Support administrative tasks, such as managing paperwork and filing.
Prescription Processing:
* Assist pharmacists in accurately and efficiently processing and filling prescriptions.
* Input prescription details into the pharmacy management system (Epic Willow).
Minimum Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* 2+ years of experience in retail pharmacy operations, including exposure to 340B dispensing.
* 3+ years in a customer service role.
* Current Oregon Pharmacy Technician License (or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire).
* Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, medications, and medical terminology.
* Proficiency with pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to adapt to regulatory changes and solve problems effectively.
* Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
* Experience with Epic Willow.
* 5+ years of experience in retail pharmacy operations, including 340B dispensing.
* Experience in a community or migrant health center (FQHC) or other healthcare setting.
* Bilingual or bicultural background.
* College coursework in healthcare, technical, or business fields is a plus.

Compensation:
* Hourly/Non-Exempt: Starting at $28.50 per hour, increases with experience
* Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
