* Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities
* The pharmacy technician specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of technician specialty practice areas (billing, diversion, automation, medication history, and others).
* They will provide user support, perform maintenance activities and troubleshooting, monitor proper functionality, and ensure policies and procedures are both documented and followed.
* Coordinates upgrade testing activities, education, and serves as the subject matter expert for the technician specialty practice area.
* Does related work, as required and, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing, mixing IVs, managing inventory, and assist in pharmacy operations.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
* High School graduate or GED.
* 3+ year's previous hospital pharmacy technician experience (inclusive of training programs).
* 1 year experience with identified specialty system/process.
* Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
* National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
* Current BLS Certification.
Preferred Job Requirements:
* Associates/bachelor degree.
* PTCB/ASHP Specialty Credentials.
