Job DescriptionAt Kilgore's Medical Pharmacy we pride ourselves on giving top notch customer service through every interaction we have with our patients and other medical professionals. We work hard to make a difference not only in our patients' lives, but also in our community.Full time employees will have the opportunity for extensive training with an assistant manager. Prior pharmacy experience is not required, but preferred. There will be several opportunities for advancements within the first year.We are looking for someone who will:
  • Provide excellent customer service to all of our patients, in store and on the phone.
  • Assist the pharmacist in the refilling and packaging of prescription medications.
  • Process computer insurance claims
  • Field phone calls
  • Check out patients at the register and in the drive thru.
  • Work hard as part of a team, or by themselves.
  • Have great attention to detail.
  • Be friendly.
  • Meet our high expectations for customer service.
  • Adapt to changes in facility needs.
Schedule Requirements for Duration of Employment Weekdays: Full time employees will be asked to work 8-4 or 9-5 with the possibility of having to occasionally work a closing shift (7pm). Option to work 4, 10 hour shifts may be available. Weekends: Availability to work 9-2 if needed, but typically not required. Time off during the week would be given if a Saturday shift coverage was needed. Holidays: All locations are closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.Pay RateStarting at $14/hr, with pay bumps available as you learn more within the pharmacy. Higher starting pay available if you have previous pharmacy experience.Experience and SkillsAbility to multitask and work at a rapid pace while incorporating superior customer service and critical thinking skills.Preferred ExperienceFast paced face to face customer service in a retail setting.Required educationHigh school or equivalentOther requirementsAbility to pass background check, which may include driving history, and maintain good standingAbility to pass routine random drug screeningsJob Benefits
