• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio or eligible.

• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required.

Hours and compensation potential:

• Positions available in hospital setting and outpatient setting. Positions available for 32hrs and 40hrs a week and do require weekend rotation.

• Range is between $17.50hr-$24.72hr depending on experience and a full benefit package.

What you will be doing:•Assists pharmacist in all aspects of drug preparation and distribution, including unit-of-use packaging, automated floor stock maintenance (PYXIS), unit inspection completion, drug box and crash cart replenishment and maintenance, and computer applications to support the overall program for pharmaceutical care.-Quickly and accurately prepares patient specific drug orders for final checks before dispensing by the pharmacist.-Conducts patient/family interviews to determine current medications patients are taking.-Performs certain checks on work completed by pharmacy technicians or other support personnel in order to expedite distribution functions and allowing professional staff more time for clinical support.-Replenishes drug boxes and crash carts from various patient care areas of the hospital.-Assists in providing educational in-service programs on distribution and automation systems in order to share the latest technology with care providers.- Assists in the inventory of pharmaceuticals and working with purchasing staff so that stock outages are minimized and appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
