Assists the Pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood; type's labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties. Performs duties under the auspices of the Pharmacist's license.Regulatory/Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education, experience or subsequent training.
- Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Current BLS certification.
Language Skills:
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong communication skills.
