Pharmacy Technician Specialist Announcement #292847A Pharmacy Technician Specialist is responsible for the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Pharmacist. This is a part-time position and perfect for those who feel comfortable working in a supportive team environment with room to learn and grow. Under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor, the specialist has responsibilities for Jefferson Healthcare's specialty pharmacy drug program. Additionally, the specialist maximized pharmacy reimbursement through programs that provide funding or provisions for medication. Provides specialty pharmacy and patient assistance education to providers, patients, and staff. Performs technician, purchasing, clerical, and record-keeping functions for Pharmacy. Directs workflow of the Technician and Pharmacy Assistant staff.Schedule: .6 FTE; 24 hours/week; Day Shift - Tuesday, Wednesday, & ThursdayWhat we can offer:

What you'll need:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Washington State Pharmacy Technician Certification (A) in good standing required
- Two year pharmacy technician experience is required
- One year specialty drug experience preferred
- Knowledge of third-party insurance billing practices, federal and state regulations with regard to billing and reimbursement, internal billing structure and pharmacy billing procedures is preferred
- ASHP Specialty Pharmacy Technician Training and certificate program required within 3 months of hire
- BLS Certification required within 3 months of hire
- Must stay current in knowledge base, certifications and licenses indicated above, and meet Hospital-mandated education requirements
