Job Description : Using technical equipment to safely draw blood from patient. The ideal candidate will be able to explain the process to the patient, reassuring and calming patients who might be nervous or scared of the procedure. Follow all clinic safety and privacy procedures including OSHA and HIPAA regulations. Maintain accurate records of blood samples, including printing requisition for lab work and labeling specimen tubes. Successfully draw blood for labs through venipuncture, apply dressing to the wound created by drawing blood. Use centrifuge, and keep stock of needed supplies, reporting any low inventory to ensure supply is replenished, send blood sample to laboratories.
