Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description
A local hospital is seeking to build out a phlebotomy team that will work as an extension of the nursing team. This role is vital in ensuring patient care and smooth operations within the hospital.
Responsibilities
+ Perform phlebotomy procedures.
+ Ambulate patients and monitor their walking.
+ Conduct EKGs.
+ Answer call lights.
+ Perform vital sign checks as needed.
+ Stock supply closets during downtime.
Essential Skills
+ Proven phlebotomy experience verified with references.
+ Strong customer service skills.
+ Experience as a medical assistant.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment includes both lab and office settings. This hospital is known for its specialization in elective procedures and is regarded as the 'country club' of hospitals in the area. The position offers a long-term contract, 40 hours of PTO in the first 9 months, and 60 hours of PTO every 6 months thereafter.
