Collects specimens by venipuncture, heelstick and/or fingerstick on patients in various settings, such as within the hospital, at third party off-site locations or in nursing homes operated by a third party. Also collects Microbiology specimens,#urine drug screens and legal specimens as required.#Office and computer skills are utilized in performing#different aspects of the job, such as registration and entering test requests. Additional duties may include planting cultures in Microbiology and stocking#supplies. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Minimum:#### High school diploma or equivalent and completion of phlebotomy training program or equivalent training. Preferred:#### N/A Registration/Certification/Licensure: Act 33/73 Clearances,#Healthcare Provider CPR, valid driver#s license and maintain eligibility to be insured under the Health Systems motor vehicle liability insurance.# Preferred:#Phlebotomy registration by American Society of Clinical Pathology. Experience: Minimum:#### Clinical experience obtained through a phlebotomy training program OR six months prior phlebotomy#experience.# Preferred:#####One#year experience as a phlebotomist. Other Requirements: Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle sharps, such as needles, suture kits, lancets, syringes, etc.# #
