Phlebotomist - Adams Memorial Hospital : Job Details

Performs venipuncture, skin puncture, and specimen collection procedures. Responsible for order entry and billing functions, including determining medical necessity. Performs office duties such as answering the phone, typing, and filing. Distributes clinical reports. Assists with specimen processing. May perform patient registration. Performs waived kit testing, micro set ups, and loading specimens onto instruments. May perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and quality control depending on shift worked. The job will entail access to confidential information such as patient health information (PHI). Must demonstrate ethical behavior and respect for security and privacy. This team member will draw specimens at various nursing homes. Vehicle and supplies are provided. Staff member will report to Adams Memorial to get orders and supplies and proceed to nursing home to collect specimens. Specimens will then be brought back to Adams Memorial Hospital laboratory for testing.Eligible for medical coverage on your first day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!Requirements:30 hours per week - First ShiftMonday - Friday5:00 am - 1:30 pmHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBLS/CPR is required within 30 days of hire
