DescriptionWestern Wisconsin Health is seeking a Phlebotomist/Clinical Lab Assistant to join the team in our Lab! Responsibilities include specimen collection and processing, patient education, and analysis of waived testing. This position serves patients in both the hospital and clinic setting. Additionally, this position supports clinical testing, general lab operations, and will be responsible for other tasks based on qualifications and experience, as deemed necessary to meet regulatory compliance, organizational/departmental goals and to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the department. This is done to support the organization's mission while living our values.$3000 Signing Bonus:$1500 on the first paycheck$1500 after 6 months of employmentRequirementsQUALIFICATIONSWestern Wisconsin Health expects employees to understand and to incorporate the values of our organization in their day-to-day practice. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Certification from Board of Registry from ASCP or equivalent for Clinical Lab Assistant within 9 months of hirePreferred Qualifications: Vocational training in the area of laboratory assistant, lab aide or phlebotomy1+ years laboratory experience or degree in a Laboratory Assistant program CPR certificationOther Qualifications: Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic medical records Ability to anticipate, understand, and manage patient expectations and provide consistent delivery of services Clearly and effectively convey information to patients Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibilityWork Schedule:Part-time and full-time opportunities availableMonday through Friday, 5:15am-1:45pm or 10:30am-7pmWeekend and holiday rotationABOUT WESTERN WISCONSIN HEALTHWestern Wisconsin Health is an integrated hospital and family practice clinic located in Western Wisconsin, just 30 minutes from downtown St. Paul on I-94.
